Christine Baumgartner: All About Kevin Costner's Ex-Wife

Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner, who were married for 18 years, have officially ended their marriage. Baumgartner filed for divorce from the ‘Yellowstone’ star, citing "irreconcilable differences," on 1st May 2023. Their divorce was finalized in February 2024 after a contentious legal battle.

Following the divorce, Baumgartner is currently in a relationship with financier Josh Connor, a longtime friend and former neighbour of the former couple. Baumgartner, known for designing handbags under the label Cat Bag Couture, shared in 2005 how her journey into handbag design began with Costner's encouragement.

Costner and Baumgartner first crossed paths while he was still married to his first wife, Cindy Silva. After Costner's divorce from Silva in 1994, he briefly dated Bridget Rooney before reconnecting with Baumgartner in 1998. Their 2004 wedding at Costner's ranch, The Dunbar, was a storybook affair, but despite Costner's strong ties to Colorado, Baumgartner lived with him and their children in Santa Barbara, California.

Baumgartner's divorce filing in May 2023 led to a legal dispute over their shared home. Despite the terms of their prenuptial agreement, which included a 30-day deadline for her to vacate, it took a judge's order in July 2023 for her to leave the California compound. Costner expressed relief and Baumgartner reportedly felt "happy" to be out of the house.

Despite a significant age difference, Baumgartner was upfront with Costner about her desire to start a family. After six years of dating, she gave Costner an ultimatum, leading to the birth of their three children. The couple's divorce was made public in May 2023, with Costner's representative citing circumstances beyond his control.

The divorce process involved challenges to their prenuptial agreement, with Costner requesting legal fees from Baumgartner. Eventually, they settled their divorce in September 2023 with a joint statement expressing an amicable resolution. The marriage was officially terminated on 16th February 2024.

Baumgartner has since moved on and is now in a relationship with Josh Connor, who was initially a friend and reportedly understands her experiences as a divorced parent.
