Common Drops Hints About Romance With Jennifer Hudson
Jennifer Hudson and Common are making headlines with their budding romance!
In a sneak peek of an upcoming episode of Jennifer Hudson’s popular talk show, ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’, the duo dropped hints suggesting they are indeed a couple. Hudson, 42, playfully introduced Common, 51, with a rap, and he surprised her by presenting a large bouquet during the segment.
As the host, Hudson wasted no time getting to the heart of the matter, asking Common if he was currently dating. The star of ‘The Suicide Squad’ chuckled in response, confirming that he is, indeed, in a relationship. Although he didn’t explicitly mention Hudson’s name, the playful tease left little to the imagination.
Common went on to share sweet words about his important other, describing her as one of the most beautiful, smart, God-loving, down-to-earth, and talented individuals he has ever met. In a humorous touch, he jokingly mentioned setting high standards, expressing a desire for his partner to be an EGOT winner. Hudson achieved this prestigious honour in 2022 when she won a Tony Award for producing ‘A Strange Loop’.
Common then turned the tables and asked the ‘Dreamgirls’ star about her happiness in her relationship. She responded by expressing her contentment and inquired about his feelings.
“This relationship is a source of joy for me,” Common replied. “Witnessing her happiness brings me immense joy. I am truly grateful, thanking God every day, and letting Him guide this relationship.”
Rumours about Common and Hudson dating initially surfaced in 2022 when they were seen together in their hometown of Chicago. However, Hudson didn’t confirm the speculation during a September 2022 interview. She mentioned that people create their narratives, emphasizing their professional collaboration on the upcoming thriller ‘Breathe’, where Common plays her husband.
Despite the initial secrecy, the couple has been frequently seen together, occasionally holding hands. As recently as 17th January, they attended a basketball game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
