Dakota Johnson Thinks Her 'Madame Web' Co-Stars Are in a Group Chat Without Her

Dakota Johnson is preparing for the release of her latest venture, the superhero action thriller 'Madame Web.' In this standalone origin story from Marvel, Johnson portrays Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who discovers she has the extraordinary ability to foresee the future and decides to wield this power to shape destiny.

In a recent chat with E! News, Johnson shared a playful observation about her 'Madame Web' co-stars. Despite feeling a strong sisterly bond with Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O'Connor and Isabela Merced during the filming process, Johnson joked about being left out of their group chat. "I don't think they include me," she chuckled, playfully attributing the generational gap between herself and her younger co-stars as the reason for her exclusion.

Confirming the existence of their text group dubbed 'The Boo Crew,' Sweeney, O'Connor and Merced assured E! News that their admiration for Johnson is unwavering. Sweeney even admitted to being a long-time fan of Johnson, recalling a time when she might have sneakily attended a screening of one of Johnson's R-rated films before she was of age. "My parents didn't let me watch it," she quipped, reminiscing about her youthful rebellion.

Sweeney further revealed her initial nerves upon meeting Johnson for the first time on set, admitting to feeling starstruck and unsure of how to approach her seasoned co-star. However, she soon found Johnson to be down-to-earth and welcoming, describing her as a "cool older sibling" figure.

Merced, too, expressed her admiration for Johnson, likening her to a "big sister" and appreciating her guidance and warmth throughout the filming process.
