Daniel Pemberton ‘Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse’ Composer Unveils U.S. Concert Tour

Embarking on a groundbreaking musical journey, the ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ Live in Concert tour is set to captivate audiences across the United States with its unique fusion of live performances and animated storytelling.

Renowned composer Daniel Pemberton, acclaimed for his work on the Spider-Man saga, reveals the evolution of this immersive concert experience. The tour, spanning over 50 dates, will kick off in Nashville, Tennessee, promising a live-to-picture rendition of Pemberton’s innovative orchestral and electronic score.

What sets this tour apart is the inclusion of live elements that breathe life into Pemberton’s compositions. A scratch DJ on turntables and a dedicated whistler will enhance the musical landscape with their distinct contributions.

Pemberton himself may take the stage, showcasing his musical prowess on guitar and various instruments, including a playful reference to using his face as a percussive element (details he humorously elaborates on).

Reflecting on the creative process, Pemberton shares his initial scepticism about translating the multidimensional scores of the Spider-Verse films into a live format. However, inspired by successful experiments and the creative freedom granted by the franchise’s innovative animation style, Pemberton embarked on this ambitious endeavour.

“The Spider-Verse films allowed me to break free from conventional norms, both in animation and music composition,” Pemberton explains. “Unlike live-action projects that often carry familiar visual and musical tropes, Spider-Verse gave me the freedom to explore uncharted territories musically.”
