‘Deadpool & Wolverine’: New Clips Teased at CinemaCon

Marvel enthusiasts are already buzzing with excitement at the prospect of Hugh Jackman returning to the role of Wolverine in the upcoming Marvel Studios film, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ However, he’s not the only superhero making an appearance in this fourth-wall-breaking movie.

Fresh footage unveiled exclusively at the recent CinemaCon event offers a glimpse of another iconic Avenger set to feature in the film. CinemaCon, known for showcasing major industry announcements and reactions, had movie buffs on the edge of their seats with surprises galore.

One such revelation came from the esteemed Kevin Feige at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, during CinemaCon. Taking the stage, he treated the audience to a sneak peek at the only Marvel Studios release scheduled for this year, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’

According to The Direct, amidst the excitement surrounding the film, eagle-eyed viewers spotted a cameo from one of the original Avengers – the mighty Thor himself. The scene in question features an appearance by the Asgardian, sourced from archived footage from the 2013 Marvel movie ‘Thor: The Dark World.’

Reportedly, the scene depicts Thor mourning over Deadpool’s body, reminiscent of a moment from the second Thor film where he grieves for Loki. However, Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, breaks the tension by addressing the camera with his trademark irreverence.

Moving on to the exclusive trailer for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ which has been creating quite a stir, it showcases Wade Wilson, portrayed as a used car salesman, alongside Peter, a member of Rob Delaney’s X-Force.

The trailer delves into their shared memories and past adventures, but when the possibility of Wade donning the Deadpool suit once more arises, he dismisses it with a simple “I’m done.”

Reuniting the beloved cast from the first two ‘Deadpool’ films, including Morena Baccarin as Wade’s love interest Vanessa and Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead. The movie is scheduled for release on 26th July 2024.
