Dean McDermott's Post on Sobriety Gets Thumbs Up From Tori Spelling

Only a few days after filing for divorce, Tori Spelling came out in favour of Dean McDermott. Actor McDermott from Canada posted a quote about sobriety on Instagram on 9th April. Former ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ star Spelling liked the post. "I'm proud of you," McDermott wrote in the caption, expressing his pride. Not much more to say! #cleanandsober #thesoberlife 🙏🤖." Despite their distance from one another, the post received close to 700 likes, including one from Spelling.

McDermott revealed in a November 2023 interview with the Daily Mail that he has been fighting alcohol and drug addiction for almost thirty years. He talked about spending the summer in treatment and living in a sober living home. During his ongoing recovery journey, he acknowledged Spelling as a major supporter in a recent interview with Page Six, saying, "Tori has always been my biggest supporter, my biggest fan."

On 29th March Spelling, who had been married for eighteen years, filed for divorce from McDermott. In the first episode of her podcast, misSPELLING, she talked candidly about her experiences with loneliness and self-worth, saying, "I've never felt more alone... I don't think I'm worthy of love.

In an interview with PEOPLE on 1st April at the iHeartMusic Awards, Spelling stressed her attempts to adjust to her new situation, saying, "I really want to redefine it and take the hard out of it... You proceed and carry out your one task." Liam Aaron, Stella Doreen, Hattie Margaret, Finn Davey, and Beau Dean are the couple's five children together.

Despite the difficulties, Spelling is managing single motherhood and putting her priorities first, according to people close to her, who spoke with PEOPLE. She's adjusting to her new role as a single mother... Her primary goal was to find her children a new place to live, and they currently have a rental," the source added. As Spelling gets used to her new reality, things are happening day by day.
