Demi Can Do It Anywhere

Demi Lavato gave us hope through her living room concert. The concert , Hosted by John Elton was a tribute to all the healthcare workers,First responders and local heroes who are on the frontline of fighting the deadly Pandemic. Many artists have initiated Live streaming concerts to raise funds for various organisations involved in the Global relief measures.   

She sang “Skyscraper” for the jam session and addressed her struggles of isolation and anxiety in her live stream. Before starting off her rendition of “SkyScraper” , she gave out a heartfelt speech about COVID-19 and the frontline workers . She said  “Help the first responders,” she said. “Do what you can to lift them up.” The cases of COVID-19 have been rising for the last two weeks without hindrance. 

The song is from her 2011 album, “Unbroken” which was honestly the perfect song for these dire times where we need reassurance. She lifted up spirits as she belted out verses like “”Go on and try to tear me down/ I will be rising from the ground, like a skyscraper,” while gracing the piano. Images of empty New York streets surrounded by skyscrapers were displayed alongside her performance.

Over the last few weeks she has been endorsing many challenges including the #StayAtHomeChallenge where she encourages fans to stay at home and flatten the curve. Demi also took part in the #DoYourPartChallenge which is meant to help communities in need.  She tweeted “I will be sending meals to families in need to support them during this challenging time.” Yas Queen show the world how to do it! 
Many artists from the entertainment industry like Trevor Noah and Jimmy Fallon have been hosting their respective quarantine edition of shows. Jimmy Fallon, for instance, has been doing his late-night show from home, and Lovato is set to make an appearance on Tuesday.
