‘Despicable Me 4′ Secures Prestigious Box Office Position

‘Despicable Me 4’ has achieved a significant milestone by entering the top 100 sequels of all time at the US Box Office. This achievement follows a strong performance, where it earned $5.7 million domestically, bringing its total gross to an impressive $215 million.

The film maintained its dominance in its second week, securing the top spot as the highest-grossing film of the week in the US. Its rise in rankings has displaced ‘Mission: Impossible 2’ from the list, and it now eyes surpassing ‘Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted’, which is less than $1 million ahead.

Fans of the franchise shouldn’t be surprised by ‘Despicable Me 4’ success, as all previous major releases have been box office hits. While it may not reach the billion-dollar heights of its predecessors like ‘Despicable Me 2’ and ‘Minions’, which almost hit $1 billion each, the film’s strong box office performance underscores the ongoing popularity of the Minions franchise.

This success has led to the announcement of a third Minions film, slated for release in June 2027.
