Diablo Cody Drops Exciting Hint: 'Jennifer's Body' Reboot or Sequel in the Works?

There's talk about bringing back ‘Jennifer's Body’.

Renowned actress Diablo Cody, who is currently filming ‘Lisa Frankenstein,’ has expressed hope that the 2009 Megan Fox film will be remade or followed up. She spoke with assurance about what she believed to be an upcoming development and emphasized how crucial it is to continue funding these kinds of artistic works. In a market flooded with content and countless attempts to reimagine classic tales, Cody's enthusiasm for the idea is clear.

When Cody examined the difficulties in persuading decision-makers, she considered the film ‘Jennifer's Body’, which, despite its early box office setbacks, has a devoted fan base and even attained cult status.

She discussed how the industry has changed since the movie's release, pointing out the propensity for an increased emphasis on data. At 45, Cody used the success she recently had with Juno to emphasize how crucial it is for people involved to acknowledge the changing environment and have faith in the project's ability to succeed, drawing comparisons to the ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ franchise.

Diablo Cody says she was hesitant to return to the horror-comedy genre following ‘Jennifer's Body’, directed by Karyn Kusama, and its initial lacklustre reception. Even though it was a personal project, the movie had difficulties at first.

But the late praise for ‘Jennifer's Body’ gave Cody the courage to return to a similar territory of teenage horror with ‘Lisa Frankenstein’, starring Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton. But as the years went by and fans began to embrace the movie, Cody felt energized and thrilled.

On 9th February, ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ will open in theatres. Don't pass up the thrill!
