Dominic Purcell And Wentworth Miller Reunite For New Series After Nearly Two Decades

Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller are ready to share the screen once more! The two actors, who became household names 19 years ago with the premiere of ‘Prison Break’, are reuniting for the upcoming series Snatchback. Purcell, who is also serving as an executive producer for the series, shared the exciting news on his Instagram page.

According to an official logline, the Scott Rosenbaum-written and executive-produced series "follows a highly skilled privately contracted team of operatives as they recover hostages across the globe from some of the most exotic and equally dangerous locations on the planet." This thrilling new series is inspired by the life of a real covert intelligence officer who is still active in the field today. Purcell's wife, Tish Cyrus, and Dannah Axelrod Summers of HopeTown Entertainment are also on board as executive producers.

'Prison Break,' which originally aired for four seasons on Fox, featured Purcell and Miller as brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield, respectively. Their captivating performances and the show's gripping storyline made it a massive hit. Following its initial run, the series returned with a TV film titled 'The Final Break' and was revived for a fifth season, much to the delight of fans.

Despite rumours of a sixth season, former Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier announced that there were no immediate plans to revive the series. However, he left the door open for future possibilities, expressing pride in the franchise and a willingness to listen to new story ideas from the creators.

In the meantime, Purcell and Miller have continued to work together, appearing in shows like ‘The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.' Their chemistry and on-screen dynamic remain as strong as ever, exciting fans about their new collaboration in Snatchback.

Purcell's personal life has also been flourishing. His wife, Tish Cyrus, spoke to a magazine about their supportive and empowering relationship. "He just encourages me to fly. He is just like, 'You're the funniest, you're the prettiest, you're the sweetest, you're this — just show the world who you are.' It has just empowered me in such a way that I've never felt before," she shared.
