Donald Glover Releases Trailer For New Movie ‘Bando Stone’
Donald Glover recently surprised fans at an advance IMAX screening of ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ with a sneak peek of his upcoming film, ‘Bando Stone & The New World.’ This new project is set to be his final album as Childish Gambino and will also serve as the film’s soundtrack.
Glover first announced the film and album in April, sharing that ‘Bando Stone & The New World’ would be released in the summer. Although there’s no official release date yet, he gave fans an exciting preview during the screening.

The trailer, not yet available online, introduces Bando Stone, played by Glover, who wakes up in a deserted, dystopian world. He soon encounters a mother and her child and embarks on a sci-fi adventure filled with alien lasers and monsters. The trailer ends with the intriguing question: “What are you when the world ends?”
In a recent live stream, Glover revealed that the album’s lead single will be out on Tuesday, 2nd July. He expressed frustration over the streaming service Audiomack allegedly leaking the single early. “That got leaked. It kinda pissed me off, to be honest,” Glover said. He further added, “I know who did it, Audiomack. You’re not getting the album now.”
Glover also shared his thoughts on the current music scene, noting a lack of fun. He explained that the rollout for his new album is focused on bringing joy back to the music experience. “I’m trying to have fun because I feel like there’s just people not having enough fun… When I was a kid there were big things that would unite us and I just feel bad for some of y’all,” he said.
