Dua Lipa, the three-time Grammy winner, has recently unveiled her latest single, ‘Training Season’, marking the second release from her highly anticipated third studio album.

This new track follows her previous hit, ‘Houdini’, which debuted Lipa further showcased her musical prowess with a dynamic performance at the 2024 Grammys, where she seamlessly integrated ‘Training Season’, ‘Houdini’ and her Grammy-nominated song ‘Dance the Night,’ featured in the Barbie soundtrack.

In ‘Training Season’, Lipa’s vocals resonate with lyrics expressing the longing for a deeper connection: “You should know I need someone to hold me close  Deeper than I’ve ever known Whose love feels like a rodeo.” The song captures the essence of seeking authenticity and emotional intimacy in romantic relationships, as Lipa navigates through themes of vulnerability and self-discovery.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind her latest creation, Lipa shared her personal experiences in a press release. She recounted a string of disappointing dates culminating in a moment of realisation: ‘TRAINING SEASON IS OVER’.
