The epic series follows Paul Atreides, played by 30-year-old Timothée Chalamet, as he navigates a dangerous future and allies with the Fremen on the desert planet Arrakis. After falling in love in the second film, the story now finds Paul as the Emperor of the universe. The third instalment introduces a complex dynamic, with Zendaya's character, Chani, caught in a love triangle involving Paul and his wife, Princess Irulan, played by Florence Pugh.
The new film also reveals that Paul and Chani have started a family, with twins Leto and Ghanima born in the years since the last movie.
Trailer Launch Event
At the launch event, Zendaya was joined by costars Robert Pattinson and Anya Taylor-Joy, while Florence Pugh checked in via video call. Joking about their onscreen rivalry, Pugh asked if Zendaya was still mad at her. Zendaya laughed it off, praising Pugh as a phenomenal talent. She recalled wishing for more scenes together after their brief interaction in the previous film and teased that while she didn't want to give too much away, their journey together in this chapter is quite intense.
