Eddie Redmayne to Reprise Role in Universal's 'Fantastic Beasts' Theme Park

Universal Orlando's eagerly awaited theme park, Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic Land, is set to open in 2025. Entertainment Weekly confirmed that this magical land will feature connections to the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ series, with Eddie Redmayne reprising his role as Newt Scamander. This elaborate theme park will blend elements from the eight ‘Harry Potter’ films and the three ‘Fantastic Beasts’ films, spanning locations from 1920s Paris to 1990s London.

Visitors will travel between these destinations via the Métro Floo transportation network. The park will centre around the British Ministry of Magic, offering a unique wizarding experience with advanced omnidirectional transport technology. One of the main attractions involves a ride taking guests to the Ministry of Magic for Dolores Umbridge's trial. When she escapes, riders join Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and a house elf named Higgledy in the chase to capture her.

The Ministry of Magic section will also feature a live show, Le Cirque Arcanus, with performers, aerialists, puppetry, and special effects. The storyline includes Ringmaster Skender stealing Newt Scamander's suitcase, integrating Fantastic Beasts throughout the production.

In addition to the main attractions, the park will include merchandise stalls selling wands and other Harry Potter-themed items. Attendees can use these wands to interact with fantastic beasts around the Parisian-themed area of the park.

This expansive theme park will join two other Harry Potter-themed areas at Universal Orlando Resort. It will open alongside Epic Universe, a park featuring lands like How to Train Your Dragon's Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, and Dark Universe with classic Universal monsters. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic Land will debut with Epic Universe in 2025.
