Eminem Announces Release Date For New Album ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’

Eminem is offering fans a deeper look into his upcoming phase. On, 2nd July, the 51-year-old ‘Lose Yourself’ rapper shared a new trailer on social media teasing his forthcoming album, ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’ set to be released on 12th July.

In the visual, set at Pompsomp Hills Hospital, a dramatic scene unfolds in a delivery room where a woman goes into labour. The baby initially appears lifeless, prompting the doctor to attempt resuscitation. However, when the baby is handed over, eerie transformations occur with darkened eyes and horns emerging.

The unsettling sequence leads to chaos among hospital staff, followed by glimpses of Eminem’s album title and a snippet from his recent single ‘Houdini.’ Earlier the ‘Crack a Bottle’ artist also dropped another single from the album, ‘Tobey,’ featuring Big Sean and Babytron, accompanied by cover art referencing Spider-Man.

Eminem had previously released ‘Houdini’ as the lead single showcasing his upcoming album’s direction. The music video for ‘Houdini’ included references to his iconic 2002 track ‘Without Me,’ featuring a cameo from Dr. Dre and a storyline involving a portal that brings a younger version of Eminem into the present day.

Announcing his 12th studio album in April, Eminem teased fans with a trailer aired before his appearance at the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit, promising an impactful release this summer.
