Cast, Characters and Plot Teases

'28 Years Later: The Bone Temple' brings back several key actors alongside new and returning characters that fans have grown attached to. Cillian Murphy and Ralph Fiennes are set to reprise their roles. While, Jack O'Connell plays Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal again, the charismatic but dangerous head of the Jimmies, a cult-like group. In this follow-up, Alfie Williams also makes a comeback as Spike, whose transformation from terrified survivor to tough young adult will take unforeseen turns. Erin Kellyman and Chi Lewis-Parry complete the main ensemble in roles that further enrich the world's complex social dynamics.

Viewers will see Spike's enlistment in Jimmy Crystal's brutal gang and Dr. Kelson's involvement in an enigmatic new connection with far-reaching ramifications in the film's plot. '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple' will be released in theaters on 16th January in the United States and a little earlier in other countries, according to Sony Pictures Releasing's January 2026 schedule. This Martin Luther King Jr. weekend premiere sets up the sequel for early-year box office success.
