Exploring Elle King's Family Background

Elle King, widely recognized for her hit song ‘Ex's & Oh's’, entered the world in Los Angeles as the daughter of renowned 'Saturday Night Live' comedian Rob Schneider and former model London King. 

Born Tanner Elle Schneider, she made a deliberate decision to adopt her mother's surname for her stage persona, aiming to carve her own identity in the entertainment industry and establish her independence.

Reflecting on her choice, Elle emphasised her desire to forge her path and earn her success without relying on her family's name or financial assistance. In an interview with a magazine, she expressed her ambition to build a life for herself through hard work and determination.

Raised primarily by her mother and stepfather in Ohio, Elle had limited contact with her father during her upbringing. However, as she entered adulthood, she and Rob reconnected, cultivating a strong and loving relationship that Elle described as fulfilling the bond she had always yearned for.

Transitioning from her formative years with her mother to reconnecting with her father, Elle's journey has been shaped by her relationships with both parents. Rob Schneider, known for his comedic prowess on SNL, shares a special bond with his daughter, characterised by mutual love and respect.

London King, Elle's mother, initially made her mark in the 1990s as a model before venturing into acting, with roles in films like ‘A Better Way to Die’ and ‘The Calling’. However, following her foray into acting, London shifted her focus to a different calling—becoming a doula. Embracing this new role, she now assists women during childbirth, channelling her nurturing spirit and empathy into supporting mothers through one of life's most transformative experiences.
