After over ten years of paranormal excitement in Hawkins, Indiana, co-creator Ross Duffer posted the dates on Instagram, providing fans with a clear image of how the drama ends. 

These lengthy episodes, each lasting more than an hour, are intended to conclude the expansive plots and emotional arcs that have characterized 'Stranger Things' since its 2016 premiere.

Volume 2 Runs Long: A Cinematic Ending for Hawkins

Volume 1 of 'Stranger Things' Season 5, which was divided into three parts, released to enormous acclaim in late November, reigniting interest with the first four episodes of the final season. Fans now have a clear idea of how the last stretch will unfold.

The second half of the season, Volume 2, will debut on Netflix on 25th December, with three episodes that are each more than an hour long, according to co-creator Ross Duffer's announcement.  

The episodes listed are "Shock Jock" (1 hr 8 min), "Escape From Camazotz" (1 hr 15 min), and "The Bridge" (1 hr 6 min), all designed to escalate the action and emotional stakes as the heroes confront the dangerous forces of the Upside Down and rising threats to Hawkins and beyond. Then comes the grand finale: "The Rightside Up," set to drop on 31st December, with a runtime of 2 hours and 8 minutes.
