When people think of Henry Cavill, the first role that usually comes to mind is 'Superman.' He first played the nearly invincible hero in the 2013 film 'Man of Steel' and wore the cape a few more times before his final, much-discussed appearance in 2021’s 'Black Adam.' Still, many fans feel his portrayal of Geralt of Rivia in 'The Witcher' is his most iconic work. While he has since passed that role on to Liam Hemsworth, Cavill is far from finished with sword-fighting on the big screen.
Henry Cavill's 'Highlander' Update
His long-awaited 'Highlander' reboot—a fresh take on the 1986 classic that starred Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery—is finally moving forward after years of delays. The project faced several setbacks, including a production pushback to early 2026 after Cavill was injured during his training.

Now that cameras are officially rolling, the cast has expanded to include major stars like Russell Crowe and Jeremy Irons. Fans recently got a glimpse of the action through dark new set photos where Cavill looks particularly gritty, sporting a black trench coat that gives off major Matrix vibes.
While 'Highlander' is still in the works, Henry Cavill has another project arriving much sooner. His next film, 'In The Grey,' is scheduled to hit theatres on 15th May. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the movie features Henry Cavill alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Eiza González as part of a secret team of operatives.

The story follows the group as they come out of hiding to hunt down a ruthless dictator who has stolen a billion-dollar fortune. Although the film spent over two years in post-production, the first official images of the duo in action were recently revealed, giving fans a taste of the high-stakes thriller.
