The film will explore Dylan’s contentious 1960s transition to electric guitar playing as well as his ascent to fame in the folk music world. Chalamet will sing in character as Dylan, according to Mangold, which is another musical endeavour for the actor following ‘Wonka.’

Mangold expressed enthusiasm for depicting Dylan’s ascent to fame and emphasizing significant junctures in the musician’s life, such as his friendships with other significant figures of the time like Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, and Woody Guthrie.

As folk singer Seeger, Edward Norton has joined the cast; Elle Fanning plays Dylan’s love interest, Sylvie Russo. When Chalamet conducted research at Dylan’s high school in Minnesota and spoke with the drama students about acting and theatre, it was clear how committed he was to the role.

The excitement surrounding the portrayal of Dylan’s legendary journey is reflected in Chalamet’s involvement in the biopic.
