Taylor-Joy elucidated on the scene’s importance, revealing, “George and I would have these big conversations about why this particular set-piece was so long. It’s because you see an accumulation of skills throughout a battle, and that’s very important for understanding how resourceful ‘Furiosa’ is, but also her grit. It’s the longest sequence any of us have ever shot.”

Additionally, Taylor-Joy and Mitchell shared some behind-the-scenes tidbits, disclosing that the scene was nicknamed ‘Stairway to Nowhere’ during production. Upon completing filming, the entire cast and crew were gifted with ‘Stairway to Nowhere’ wine.

In the film, Taylor-Joy portrays a younger iteration of Furiosa, a role previously inhabited by Charlize Theron in ‘Mad Max: Fury Road.’ Set before the events of Fury Road, the prequel traces the journey of a youthful Furiosa as she navigates life after being torn from the Green Place of Many Mothers.

‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ is scheduled for release on 24th May. Alongside Taylor-Joy, the prequel features an ensemble cast including Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, Lachy Hulme, Nathan Jones and others.
