Future ‘Call Of Duty’ Games Will Launch on Xbox Game Pass

Exciting news for Xbox Game Pass subscribers! According to an interview with Microsoft gaming chief Phil Spencer, future ‘Call Of Duty’ titles will be available day and date on the platform.

Spencer discussed the integration of new studios acquired by Xbox, including ZeniMax, Activision Blizzard and Xbox Game Studios, in an interview with Gamefile’s Stephen Totillo. “Our intent is the full portfolio from ZeniMax, Activision Blizzard and XGS – Xbox Game Studios – will be on Game Pass, day one,” Spencer confirmed.

However, he noted that there is still backend work required to ensure simultaneous launches on PC and console. “We’re doing the backend work to make them come to PC and console simultaneously,” Spencer explained.

During the interview, Spencer also addressed the future of physical media on the Xbox platform. While acknowledging Xbox’s appreciation for physical media, Spencer highlighted the challenges associated with integrating drives into gaming consoles. He noted that gaming consoles are one of the last consumer electronic devices to include drives, and the decreasing number of manufacturers has impacted costs.

As of now, ‘Call Of Duty’ games are not available on Xbox Game Pass, and there has been no official announcement regarding their addition to the platform.
