There may not be a release date for Rihanna’s album anytime soon, but that hasn’t stopped her from asking about another artist’s upcoming album. GloRilla shared a screenshot of a DM from Rihanna, revealing that the superstar not only is a fan but also curious about the rapper’s album release.
Rihanna’s message read, “You got all summer sis! I know it’s wild and hypocritical, but when will the album drop? 🤷🏿♀️❤️” GloRilla, excited by the recognition, posted the DM on Instagram with the caption “Ayyeeeee.”

GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, gained recognition with her 2022 single ‘F.N.F. (Let’s Go)’ featuring Hitkidd, which marked her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Memphis rapper has since released hits like ‘Tomorrow 2’ with Cardi B, ‘On What U On’ with Moneybagg Yo, ‘Yeah Glo!’ and ‘Wanna Be’ with Megan Thee Stallion. Recently, ‘GloRilla’ dropped her debut mixtape, ‘Ehhthang Ehhthang’, and in a cover story with Vibe, she revealed that she’s been in the studio working on her debut album, which is expected later this year.
In the interview, she emphasised her focus on career longevity, recalling advice from Yo Gotti: “Don’t get comfortable. Keep your foot on the gas. The moment you let up, everything will just go downhill… It’s about consistency and who can have longevity. That’s success.” Meanwhile, Rihanna has shared updates on her long-awaited album, R9.
Rihanna further explained that she wants to revisit her existing songs with a fresh perspective: “Yeah, I’m starting over. But I don’t want to neglect the songs that I have, so I actually want to go back and listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective and then see what applies and what I’m still in love with.”
