Greta Gerwig And Noah Baumbach Tie The Knot After 12 Years of Love

Greta Gerwig and her longtime partner, Noah Baumbach, have officially tied the knot, according to a spokesperson for the 40-year-old director. The couple exchanged vows at New York City Hall, marking a significant milestone in their relationship that began when they met on the set of the 2010 film ‘Greenberg’ and started dating in 2011.

This development follows a dynamic year for the couple, during which they co-wrote the screenplay for ‘Barbie’ and discreetly welcomed their second son, as revealed in a July interview. Gerwig, known for directing ‘Lady Bird’, expressed the joy of being a parent again, sharing insights into their family life.

Their newest addition joined their firstborn, son Harold Ralph Gerwig Baumbach, born in March 2019. Baumbach, 54, previously spoke about the collaborative joy of working with his now-wife, emphasizing the pleasure of witnessing each other’s creative endeavours.

While gracing the red carpet together at the 2020 Academy Awards, Baumbach shared with ABC’s Tamron Hall that Greta Gerwig has had a profound impact on him, making him both a “better person and a better writer.” According to Baumbach, their collaborative writing process fuels his determination to impress her, pushing him to elevate his writing skills.

During a Q&A session with Gerwig in October, Baumbach disclosed his initial reservations about working on ‘Barbie’, only to acknowledge later that it turned out to be the “best thing we’ve ever written.” He emphasized his trust in Gerwig’s judgment, stating that even in his initial reluctance, he recognized the value of following her lead.
