Halle Bailey is smitten with her newborn son, Halo! However, the 23-year-old actress playfully admitted to host Laverne Cox during the pre-show of the 2024 People’s Choice Awards that she’s experienced a bit of forgetfulness since becoming a mom.

When asked about her look for the awards ceremony, Bailey humourously remarked, “This is archive… of something, I don’t remember. But that’s OK, I can never remember; I have mom brain now, and yeah, I’m so excited to be here.”

In a 6th January Instagram post, Bailey announced the arrival of her baby with boyfriend DDG, sharing a photo of her manicured hand adorned with a gold bracelet inscribed with the name “Halo,” holding her son’s tiny hand.

Life as a first-time mom seems to be a joyful challenge for ‘The Little Mermaid’ star. During the awards pre-show, she told Cox, “It’s been going so great! I’m so obsessed — it’s such a task to leave the house because I don’t even want to go anywhere. I’m like rushing back to him, yeah.”

In a live stream on E! before the ceremony, Bailey expressed feeling amazing after welcoming Halo into the world. She mentioned, “I love him so much,” revealing that DDG, 26, came up with the idea for their son’s name. “We just agreed, and we loved it. I love the name Halo.”
