Chris Hemsworth recently found himself at the center of Marvel fan frenzy after a playful yet pointed question from Halle Berry left him blushing on national television. The humorous incident, which went viral quickly, has sparked new rumours regarding 'Avengers: Doomsday,' Storm's long-rumoured return to the MCU, and the extent to which actors are actually permitted to divulge information about Marvel's highly secret plans.

With Berry teasing her iconic X-Men character and Hemsworth joking about getting "fired," the exchange blended humour, and serious fan curiosity—all while reminding audiences why Marvel secrets are such a big deal.

The Awkward Question: Halle Berry, Storm, and Marvel's Big Mystery

Chris Hemsworth, famous for playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), turned visibly red when asked a cheeky question by none other than Halle Berry about her iconic character, Storm. Berry, who portrayed Ororo Munroe / Storm in the original 'X-Men' films from 2000 to 2014, appeared on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' to promote her new movie 'Crime 101.'

There, she playfully instructed host Jimmy Fallon to pose a very specific query to Hemsworth: "Why won't Storm be in Avengers: Doomsday? He knows the answer," hinting at rumours around her possible MCU return.

Chris laughed out loud when he saw the video during his latest appearance in the same show, then shifted uneasily when Fallon pointed out his increasingly red face. He joked, "No, it's just incredibly warm in here," in response. Hemsworth claimed he had no say in casting choices, joking that if two powerful weather-controlling heroes showed up together, they "might cancel each other out" and hinted that perhaps she could appear in the later movies.

The question was so bold that Hemsworth joked Berry could "get him fired from Marvel," though clearly, he was enjoying the jab. The rare occasion when two seasoned actors freely riffed about one of the MCU's most anticipated future films was swiftly shared online by fans, who also shared snippets and online reactions.

Storm's MCU Future and Halle Berry's Legacy

In the history of superhero films, Halle Berry's Storm is particularly noteworthy because it was among the first to feature a strong Black female heroine in a popular setting. Fans grew to appreciate Berry's weather-controlling mutant in four X-Men movies: X-Men (2000), X2: X-Men United (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), and X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014). In recent interviews, Berry has addressed the swirling rumours about Storm's inclusion in the MCU's Phase Six tentpole 'Avengers: Doomsday.'

Berry has stated time and time again that her name won't be on the Doomsday cast list "this round," but she would return "in a heartbeat" in future projects, even though many of her X-Men co-stars, including Rebecca Romijn's Mystique, Ian McKellen's Magneto, James Marsden's Cyclops, and Patrick Stewart's Professor X, are confirmed to appear.

Although some fans were disappointed by her absence from Doomsday, Berry has expressed optimism over Storm's legacy and her personal relationship with the character. Storm, she said, was "very special," and she was proud to have brought the mutant hero to life over several decades.

With lighthearted remarks on how the two weather masters could come together on screen, Hemsworth has openly supported Berry's possible comeback and has stated that he hopes to see Storm join him, perhaps in the upcoming MCU event, 'Avengers: Secret Wars.'

From Thor to 'Crime 101': Friendship and Fan Excitement

Beyond the Marvel chatter, Hemsworth and Berry's recent interactions also tie into their real-world collaboration on 'Crime 101,' where their on-camera chemistry offered a fun backdrop for fans to speculate on comic book crossovers. They have responded to questions about Doomsday, meteorological powers, and mutual admiration during press junkets, fusing sincere friendship with lighthearted Marvel allusions. The fun banter and hopeful invitations from Hemsworth keep fans eager for what might happen next, even if Storm's participation in the future movie is still unknown and Marvel Studios has not made an official comment regarding Berry's casting.

Whether Storm eventually appears in the MCU—in Secret Wars or beyond—remains to be seen. But one thing's clear: Chris Hemsworth's red-faced reaction made for a memorable moment in Marvel lore, and Halle Berry's enduring legacy as Storm continues to thunder through fan imagination.
