A script from the ‘Star Wars’ franchise, mistakenly left by Harrison Ford in a London flat he rented during the filming of ‘Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope’ in 1976, fetched thousands of pounds in a recent auction.
The auction listing described it as a revised fourth draft of the film, originally titled ‘The Adventures of Luke Star Killer,’ with scenes introducing Chewbacca in the cantina and Han Solo presenting the Millennium Falcon. The script, containing iconic scenes and lines like "Boring conversation anyway," was sold for £10,795 to an unnamed collector via Excalibur Auctions.

The auction house provided additional details about the flat's owners, stating that Ford had rented a flat from a family that advertised it in The Sunday Times. The owners, unaware of Ford's celebrity status, recalled their cleaner fainting upon meeting the actor.
The script's unique provenance and personal connection to Ford, along with the occasional visits from Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, contributed to its appeal. Excalibur Auctions co-owner Sarah Torode humorously mentioned during the sale that the script might even have Ford's DNA and sweat on it.

Jonathan Torode, the co-owner, emphasized the global interest and competitive bidding for these rare 'Star Wars' artefacts, expressing the hope that the new owners would treasure them as much as the previous ones did.
In unrelated 'Star Wars' news, Daisy Ridley is set to reprise her role in an upcoming 'Star Wars' film directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Ridley expressed enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing Obaid-Chinoy's impressive documentary work and describing the story as "cool as sh*t" in an interview.
