The Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio will host the live broadcast of the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on 19th October. John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, noted the significant influence these performers have had on music and culture when thinking back on the wide range of inductees.

A diverse range of musical abilities is represented by this year’s candidates, which include Mariah Carey, Eric B. & Rakim, Jane’s Addiction, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Sinead O’Connor and Sade. Interestingly, this year’s ballot had ten out of the fifteen nominees for the first time.

According to the foundation’s requirements, an artist must have released their first commercial recording by 1999 or at least 25 years earlier to be eligible for consideration. Thirteen musicians were admitted last year, including Sheryl Crow, Chaka Khan, Missy Elliott, Kate Bush, and George Michael, who was inducted posthumously.

Following in the footsteps of last year, the 2024 event will stream live on Disney+, be shown as an ABC special later in the year, and be accessible for viewing on Hulu the day following the program.
