‘Hi-Fi Rush’ Heads to PlayStation 5

Exciting news for gamers as ‘Hi-Fi Rush’ and several other formerly Xbox console exclusive titles are set for release on PlayStation 5 next month.

‘Hi-Fi Rush’ is scheduled to hit PlayStation 5 consoles on 19th March, with physical editions available exclusively through Limited Run Games. Although rumours of a Switch release for ‘Hi-Fi Rush’ have circulated, there has been no official confirmation regarding these speculations.

In addition to ‘Hi-Fi Rush,’ Xbox is expanding its horizons by bringing three other previously exclusive games to new platforms. Obsidian Entertainment’s Pentiment made its debut on PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch on 22nd February. Meanwhile, the same studio’s co-op survival game, ‘Grounded,’ is set to land on PS5, PS5 and Nintendo Switch on 16th April 16.

Completing the lineup, ‘Sea Of Thieves’ will make its way to PS5 on 30th April, with developer Rare and publisher Xbox promising crossplay support across all platforms.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer discussed the decision to release these games on other platforms, describing it as an experiment during an interview with The Verge last week.

Spencer stated, “I’m going to learn about our partnership with other platforms. I’m going to learn about what happens with our players. I think it will benefit the games that we’re putting there [but] if the net result is that other things are punitive to the Xbox platform and limit our growth, then we’ll have to think more carefully about how we support these other platforms.”
