How Taylor Swift Maintains Health During Her Monumental Eras Tour

Taylor Swift, known for her dedication to fans, has been performing under all kinds of conditions during her Eras Tour, including rain, shine, and even snow. As she approaches her 100th show on June 13, fans are curious about how the 34-year-old pop icon stays in top shape to deliver night after night.

During her chilly Edinburgh shows from June 7 to June 9, Swift performed amidst unseasonably cold weather. In one TikTok video from the June 7 performance, fans witnessed snow falling as she sang "All Too Well." Another clip showed her telling backup dancers, "I wanna keep it," while deciding to keep her jacket on after performing ‘Lavender Haze.’

Swift's resilience was evident when she suffered a hand cramp from the cold before her surprise songs. Apologizing for the delay, she humorously told the audience, “I have done a million shows on this tour and my hand has never decided to just like… It’s forming a claw!”

To stay healthy and maintain her stamina, Swift began an intense workout regimen six months before the tour kicked off in March 2023. In an interview with ‘Time’ last year, she revealed that her routine involved running on a treadmill while singing the entire setlist. She explained, “I would run fast for fast songs, and jog or walk briskly for slow songs,” preparing her for the physically demanding three-hour performances.

Swift also emphasizes the importance of rest. Between shows, she enjoys ‘dead days,’ where she rests completely. “I do not leave my bed except to get food and take it back to my bed and eat it there,” she shared. “It’s a dream scenario. I can barely speak because I’ve been singing for three shows straight. Every step I take, my feet go crunch, crunch, crunch from dancing in heels. But it's the most fulfilling I've ever felt.”

In addition to her workout and rest routines, Swift avoids alcohol while on tour to maintain her strength and stamina. “I'm not drinking on tour,” she stated. “I'm working out between shows to keep my strength and stamina up,” especially when performing multiple days in a row.

Swift's determination to perform despite any personal challenges is a testament to her commitment to her fans. “I'm going on that stage whether I'm sick, injured, heartbroken, uncomfortable, or stressed,” she affirmed. “That’s part of my identity as a human being now.”

As Swift gears up for her next performances at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool from June 13 to June 15, fans can be sure that her dedication and rigorous routine will continue to deliver spectacular shows.
