Jacob Elordi Replaces Andrew Garfield as Frankenstein’s Monster in Netflix Movie

Fresh from the sensation that was ‘Saltburn,’ Jacob Elordi is stepping into the iconic shoes of Frankenstein’s monster for Netflix’s upcoming rendition of Mary Shelley’s timeless 1818 novel.
The ‘Euphoria’ luminary is set to share the screen with the talented Oscar Isaac, who will embody the character of scientist Victor Frankenstein, under the direction of the illustrious Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.
Curious minds sought insights from Elordi’s representatives regarding his portrayal of Victor Frankenstein’s scientific experiment.

Reportedly taking over from Andrew Garfield, who departed due to “strike postponements that led to scheduling conflicts,” Elordi joins a star-studded cast that includes Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen and David Bradley.

Guillermo del Toro, known for his Oscar-winning creations such as 2017’s ‘The Shape of Water,’ 2006’s Pan’s ‘Labyrinth’ and the recent 2022 adaptation of ‘Pinocchio,’ will be at the helm of this yet-to-be-titled project.

The tale of Frankenstein has graced the silver screen on numerous occasions, with adaptations spanning from the 1931 classic ‘Frankenstein’ to 1948’s ‘Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein’ and beyond.
Elordi’s immersion into this iconic role follows his eventful 2023, where he brought Elvis Presley to life in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla and assumed the character of Felix Catton in Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn. The actor is set to continue his captivating portrayal of Nate Jacobs in the eagerly anticipated third season of Euphoria.
