James Gunn Wraps Filming of Rebooted DC Universe's ‘Superman’: “It Has Been An Honour”

James Gunn has announced via social media that he has wrapped filming on his highly anticipated ‘Superman’ movie. In his message, Gunn expressed deep appreciation for the cast and crew who contributed to the project. Superman is set to hit theatres shortly.

In his social media post, Gunn shared a photo from the set and wrote, "And that’s a wrap. God bless our cast and crew whose commitment, creativity, and hard work have brought this project to life.

I set out to make a movie about a good man in a world that isn’t always so. And the goodness and kindness and love I’ve encountered daily on the set has inspired me and thrust me forward when I felt too spent to move on my own."

Gunn further conveyed his gratitude, stating, "It has been an honour. The destination has been Superman, but the journey has been the toil and the laughter and the emotions and ideas and magic we’ve shared on set—and for that, I am forever grateful." He, along with Peter Safran, is spearheading the rebooted DC Universe with ‘Superman: Legacy’.

David Corenswet stars as Superman, while Rachel Brosnahan, fresh off her Emmy win for ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’, plays Lois Lane. Nicholas Hoult, known for his role in ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’, portrays Lex Luthor. 

The supporting cast includes Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, among others.
