Jamie Foxx's daughter, Corinne, recently shared a positive update about her father's health after his frightening ordeal last year. In April 2023, the Oscar-winning actor faced a serious health scare while filming his new Netflix movie, 'Back In Action.'
Although the exact details of his medical emergency are still unknown, Corinne assured Entertainment Tonight that her father is now doing remarkably well. "He’s doing so great, he’s doing amazing," she said. "I’m so grateful to be able to work on ['Beat Shazam'] with him and spend so much time with him."

Corinne added a fun tidbit about her father's recovery routine: "He’s playing a lot of pickleball! That man and pickleball; it’s like he’s playing twice a day every day. It’s a whole thing. He’s fully in it." Foxx, who co-hosts the musical game show 'Beat Shazam' with Corinne, has also returned to filming 'Back In Action,' which had been paused due to his health crisis. In January, he was spotted back on set with his co-star, Cameron Diaz.
In August last year, Foxx took to Instagram to update his fans on his progress, sharing that he was "finally starting to feel like myself." He expressed his gratitude, writing, "You’re looking at a thankful man. Finally starting to feel like myself... it’s been an unexpected dark journey... but I can see the light... I’m thankful to everyone that reached out and sent well wishes and prayers."

Foxx continued, "I have a lot of people to thank... you just don’t know how much it meant... I will be thanking all of you personally... and if you didn’t know... GOD IS GOOD... all day every day..." Since his hospitalisation, Foxx has made several public appearances. He first appeared in mid-July, waving to fans from a yacht on the Chicago River. Around the same time, he was spotted in Chicago, heroically retrieving a woman's purse.
In December 2023, Foxx attended an award ceremony hosted by the Critics Choice Association, where he accepted the Vanguard Award. During his emotional 12-minute speech, he revealed that he "saw the tunnel" during his illness, reflecting on the profound experience and expressing deep gratitude for his recovery and the support he received.
