The intimacy coordinator of the film ‘Miller's Girl’, featuring Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman, has addressed concerns raised by viewers regarding the age gap between the actors during an intimate scene.

‘Miller's Girl’ written and directed by Jade Halley Bartlett, tells the story of a writing student named Cairo, portrayed by Jenna Ortega, who becomes entangled in a complex relationship with her professor, played by Martin Freeman.

As their lives intertwine, they confront their inner demons while trying to maintain their identities and values.

Following reactions on social media expressing surprise and worry over the intimate scene between Ortega, and Freeman, the film's intimacy coordinator, Kristina Arjona, reassured in a recent interview that both actors felt comfortable during filming and portraying the dynamics of the storyline.

Arjona emphasised that numerous individuals were involved in ensuring Ortega's comfort throughout the process. She highlighted Ortega's determination and clarity about her boundaries, stating that her role included supporting the actor's decisions and adapting to her comfort level.

Acknowledging the significant age gap between the actors, Arjona stressed the importance of continuous communication and ensuring that boundaries were respected at all times, particularly with a younger actor like Ortega. She emphasised the necessity of ongoing consent and vigilance to prevent any breaches of boundaries.
