Jennifer Lopez is getting ready for a summer full of festivities, vigour, and friendship. As the 2025 American Music Awards host, the global superstar recently shared exclusive insights into her upcoming plans—and they’re nothing short of exciting.

Ahead of the awards show, Jennifer Lopez opened up about her packed summer schedule, expressing her excitement about headlining WorldPride in Washington, D.C. this June. The 55-year-old artist is now working on her eagerly anticipated ‘Up All Night Live’ tour in addition to preparing for the Pride Month performance.

A significant milestone in her comeback to the stage will be reached on July 4th when this tour, her first in six years, begins in Egypt. According to Jennifer Lopez, this season is the ideal time to embrace happiness and individual freedom. She emphasised that her current chapter feels especially balanced and fulfilling, making it the ideal moment to spread joy through music and live performance.

Beyond the stage, the singer and actress is also looking forward to quality time with her 17-year-old twins, Emme and Max, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony. She revealed that her children are likely to attend her WorldPride concert, noting how special it is to share these moments with them. However, due to school commitments, they won’t be joining her for the AMAs.

Ten years after making her hosting debut in 2015, Jennifer Lopez is returning to host the American Music Awards.  Despite the gruelling rehearsals for this year's show—she needed sutures for a minor nose injury—Lopez is nonetheless excited.  The rehearsals have been physically demanding, part of what she describes as a high-energy, athletic performance, but that’s exactly what fuels her creative fire.

Despite the injury, Jennifer Lopez is focused on delivering a performance that gets people singing, dancing, and living in the moment. For her, that’s always the ultimate goal.

The American Music Awards promises a night full of star power, and Jennifer Lopez at the centre of it all.
