Jennifer Lopez Shares ‘Cambia el Paso’ Music Video; Watch Now!

Jennifer Lopez is reflecting on her empowering song about not fearing the changes in one’s life. This track, originally released as a powerful anthem, encourages people to embrace change and take control of their circumstances. In a recent Instagram post, Lopez shared a snippet from the music video for ‘Cambia el Paso’, a song she co-wrote to inspire personal transformation and empowerment.

The ‘Can’t Get Enough”’ singer posted this clip on her Instagram account, which featured the pre-chorus and chorus of the song. She initially captioned it with just the song’s title, but later updated it to, “Happy Anniversary ‘Cambia el Paso’ … ☀️🌴.” The lyrics in this part of the song include, ‘Uno, dos, tres, uno, dos, tres, avanza’, translating to “one, two, three, move forward.”

In the English portion of the chorus, she sings, ‘All she wanna do is just dance, dance, dance, dance’, before singing the track’s title, which translates to ‘Change the Step’.

Lopez’s post came shortly after she spent the holiday in New York, while her husband, Ben Affleck, was in Los Angeles. This timing sparked interest and speculation among her fans. The clip shows Lopez rolling around on the beach in a silver bustier with jean shorts in one scene, and dancing on the street in denim in another. The imagery complements the song’s theme of liberation and moving forward.

The song ‘Cambia el Paso’ contains a powerful verse in Spanish, which, when translated, says, “He doesn’t deserve to have her in his arms.” Although this specific verse wasn’t part of the snippet she posted, it echoes the song’s message about recognizing one’s worth and making necessary changes in life.

Lopez explained at the time of the song’s release that ‘Cambia el Paso’ is about change and not being afraid to take the step. “Like, just take the step, advance, do what you need to do,” she said. She emphasised that if something doesn’t feel right in your life, you should make that move and dance, symbolising taking action and embracing joy.

For Lopez, who began her career as a dancer, dance represents more than just physical movement. “To me, dance means life and joy and happiness,” she said. Whenever she talks about dance, she’s also talking about the broader concept of living authentically and finding happiness. “You’ve got to be yourself, you’ve got to be happy,” Lopez added, underscoring the deeper meaning behind her empowering anthem.
