Jennifer Lopez’s ‘This Is Me… Now’ Claims Top Spot on Top Album Sales Chart

Jennifer Lopez attained her third No. 1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart with her latest studio album, ‘This Is Me… Now,’ securing the top spot on the chart dated 2nd March. The achievement comes over two decades after her last No. 1, the remix album ‘J to Tha L-O! The Remixes,’ which spent two weeks atop the chart in February and March of 2002. Lopez’s inaugural No. 1 on the list was with ‘J.Lo’ in 2001.

Overall, ‘This Is Me… Now’ marks Lopez’s ninth appearance in the Top Album Sales top 10 and her 13th entry on the chart. Serving as a companion project to her third album, ‘This Is Me… Then,’ released in 2002 and peaking at No. 2, the new release debuts at No. 1 on Top Current Album Sales, No. 1 on Tastemaker Albums, No. 7 on Vinyl Albums, No. 7 on Independent Albums, and No. 38 on the Billboard 200.

The album sold 14,000 copies in the U.S. during the tracking week ending on Feb. 22, with 11,000 in physical sales (6,000 on CD and 5,000 on vinyl) and 3,000 in digital download sales. ‘This Is Me… Now’ is available in various CD variants, vinyl editions, and digital album variations.

Lopez’s latest album also marks her 13th total chart entry on the Billboard 200, securing the 11th top 40-charting effort. Representing her first studio album in nearly a decade, ‘This Is Me… Now’ stands out as her initial release outside the major label system, issued via Nuyorican/BMG.

The success of the album aligns with a broader strategy, including additional content releases like the ‘This Is Me…Now: A Love Story’ Amazon Original, a documentary titled ‘The Greatest Love Story Never Told,’ and an upcoming extensive summer tour. Cyndi Lynott, SVP of Marketing at BMG, emphasizes that this marks the beginning of a multifaceted strategy with both immediate and long-term goals.
