Jeremy Allen White Admits He’s “Humbled All the Time by My Life” Amid Rising Fame

Jeremy Allen White, despite soaring to new heights in his career, remains firmly rooted in the everyday aspects of life, unfazed by the spotlight that accompanies his growing fame.

The actor has garnered acclaim for his roles in ‘The Bear,’ ‘The Iron Claw’ and his latest venture as the face of Calvin Klein. However, amidst the glitz and glamour, White insists that his life is “so incredibly normal” beyond the confines of his work, as he candidly shared during the 2024 Golden Globes.

When questioned about how he manages to stay down-to-earth, White humbly responded, “I’m humbled. I’m humbled all the time by my life.” This sentiment echoes his previous remarks on the newfound attention from fans, particularly the online fascination with his character in ‘The Bear’ and his sculpted physique, showcased during various outings in Los Angeles.

Reflecting on the internet’s admiration, he mused, “Thanks for watching. I don’t know, I’m flattered. It surprises me, truly.” With a nonchalant shrug, he added, “But I’ll take it! I’ll take what I can get!” White portrays Carmy, a classically trained chef grappling with the responsibility of taking over his deceased brother’s sandwich shop. The character’s charm has sparked articles, memes, and even a dedicated New Yorker cartoon.

Despite the buzz surrounding his recent roles, the Hulu star admitted in February 2023 that he doesn’t pay excessive attention to the hype. “My mom tells me what they’re saying on Twitter, which is nice,” he shared. Having been in the acting scene since the age of 18 and spending 11 years on the popular show ‘Shameless,’ White appreciates the gradual rise to stardom, allowing him to find his footing along the way.

Expressing empathy for newcomers thrust into sudden fame, he remarked, “I feel really bad for a young actor or somebody who just hasn’t had much experience when all of a sudden they break through; it could be more overwhelming in that case.”
