Jessica Biel “Excited” For New TV Role While Balancing Work and Family

Jessica Biel is focusing on what truly matters following her husband Justin Timberlake’s recent DWI arrest.

A source revealed to PEOPLE that Biel, 42, is standing by Timberlake, 43, while she continues her work on the upcoming Prime Video series, ‘The Better Sister’. Biel attended Timberlake’s show at Madison Square Garden earlier this week, where she was seen dancing among the audience. She is now prioritizing her career and personal life, leaving the legal issues to their team of professionals.

“They always support each other’s careers,” the source mentioned. “Jess attends his shows whenever possible. She’s thrilled for him. They’ve moved on from the arrest.”

The insider added, “They trust their legal team and are focusing on their work and family. Jess loves filming and is excited about her project.” Timberlake was arrested in June in Sag Harbor, New York, for allegedly driving under the influence. He was pulled over after leaving the American Hotel for running a stop sign and swerving out of his lane.

An officer reported that Timberlake’s “eyes were bloodshot and glassy,” and he had a “strong odour of alcohol” on his breath, slurred speech, and unsteady movements. He failed all standardized field sobriety tests. After being released from court, Timberlake resumed his regular activities, performing at Chicago’s United Center five days later.

“This tour has been special,” the Grammy winner told the crowd. “Many of us in this room have grown up together. So many of you tell me, ‘I grew up with you, man.’” He continued, “I want you all to know I’ve grown up with you. You’ve been a huge and beautiful part of my life. I can’t always find the words to show my gratitude for your continued support.”

The bartender who served Timberlake on the night of his arrest told PEOPLE that Timberlake only had one martini during dinner with friends, which aligned with Timberlake’s statement to the police. “I had one martini and followed my friends home,” he stated. Initially, Biel was “not happy” about the arrest, the source told PEOPLE. “She dislikes any attention on the family, especially negative attention,” the insider added.
