Joe Alwyn Makes First Red Carpet Appearance Since Taylor Swift Breakup
Joe Alwyn has made his first red-carpet appearance since discussing his 2023 breakup with Taylor Swift. On 20th June, Alwyn, 33, attended the New York City premiere of ‘Kinds of Kindness’ at the Museum of Modern Art. He was joined by his costars Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Plemons, Margaret Qualley, Mamoudou Athie, and filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos.
Dressed in a baby blue blazer, light blue collared shirt, matching tie, dark dress pants, and black dress shoes, Alwyn typically maintains a low profile outside of film promotions. However, he recently addressed his six-year relationship with Swift in an interview with ‘The Sunday Times Style’, published in June. PEOPLE confirmed the couple’s breakup in April 2023, around the start of Swift’s Eras Tour.

Reflecting on their relationship, Alwyn expressed hope that people can empathize with the challenges of ending a long-term, committed relationship. He noted the unusual aspect of their breakup being thrust into the public eye so quickly.
In ‘Kinds of Kindness,’ Alwyn plays three separate characters across different storylines. This film marks his second collaboration with Stone and Lanthimos, following their work together on 2018’s ‘The Favourite.’
It is also his first feature film release since his split from Swift. Alwyn’s recent work includes a short film titled ‘A Very Short Film about Longing’ in 2023 and the 2022 movies ‘Stars at Noon’ and ‘Catherine Called Birdy.’
