‘Joker 2: Folie à Deux’: New Details Revealed

According to Variety, ‘Joker 2: Folie à Deux,’ the upcoming musical sequel, is billed as an exciting voyage through the Joker’s world with a soundtrack that includes at least 15 well-known songs. This instalment will have a musical vibe instead of the serious tone of its predecessor, giving viewers a new insight into the chaotic world of the Joker. 

Famous composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, renowned for her astounding musical compositions, will add her distinct style to these well-loved songs, and maybe even a new song to thrill fans even more.

The film includes some noteworthy music, including Judy Garland’s iconic ‘That’s Entertainment’ from the 1953 musical ‘The Band Wagon,’ which alludes to an Old Hollywood aesthetic reminiscent of the visually striking trailer. This implies that the soundtrack for ‘Joker 2: Folie à Deux’ will incorporate melodies from different historical periods to create a seamless and engrossing whole. 

Furthermore, the casting of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn has attracted a lot of attention. Margot Robbie, for example, expressed her excitement about Gaga’s performance and emphasized the significance of having a variety of actors play iconic roles.

Known as a DC Elseworlds production, ‘Joker 2: Folie à Deux’ delves into non-traditional story trajectories apart from the DC Universe’s central arc. This classification enables the movie, which is mostly set inside Arkham Asylum, to go deeper into the complicated relationship between Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck, aka the Joker, and Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn.
