Julian Edelman Says The Tom Brady Roast Was ‘A Little Inappropriate’
Julian Edelman recently shared his experience participating in Netflix’s live special, ‘The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady’. Reflecting on the event, Edelman remarked that the evening felt reminiscent of “being in a locker room” as he and other stars like Kevin Hart and Kim Kardashian humorously teased the former quarterback.
“I had a blast,” Edelman said. “Everyone had super thick skin, and we all knew we were there to make fun of each other.” He even poked fun at Brady, calling him “Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend’s ex-husband” during the roast.

Edelman further elaborated, saying, “It felt very similar to a locker room — just in front of an audience. It might seem a little inappropriate, but it was fun. It felt like a big therapeutic session among everyone there,” he added, drawing a parallel between the roast and the camaraderie shared among teammates.
Discussing his professional career, Edelman highlighted his commitment to nutrition. “I was so big into my nutrition during my playing days,” he said. “I had a nutritionist, took all the supplements, and downed 14 to 15 vitamins a day. In the locker room, I watched guys experiment with various wellness fads.”
Edelman noticed an increase in these wellness trends among his NFL peers, particularly towards the end of his career. “Guys were trying different diets and supplements,” he observed. Now residing in Los Angeles, he sees many people exploring various ways to improve their health.
In retirement, Edelman has streamlined his approach to wellness, relying on “the science” behind One-A-Day vitamins. “I got tired of taking multiple supplements,” he explained. “One-A-Day was easy to take, tasted good, and is scientifically proven to work. Partnering with them was a no-brainer because it’s something I needed, believed in, and science supports.”
