Justin Timberlake Jokes About DWI Arrest at Forget Tomorrow World Tour Stop in Boston
During his recent concert in Boston, Justin Timberlake appeared to humorously reference his recent legal issues. On 29th June, the 43-year-old Grammy winner addressed the crowd at the TD Garden, seemingly alluding to his DWI arrest with a playful remark.
“So uh, is there anyone here tonight that is driving and … no I’m just kidding,” Timberlake quipped, nodding to his arrest over a week earlier in Sag Harbor, New York, for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
The crowd, nearly 20,000 strong, responded with laughter and applause before Timberlake continued with his actual question: “Is there anyone here tonight, that it’s your first time here to the show? Is there anybody here that you’ve been to 1, 2, 3, maybe 4 of our shows?”

For first-time attendees, Timberlake added, “I hope that you feel the fellowship and the love.”
The ‘NSYNC’ alum then shared sentiments he had expressed at previous shows, particularly his performance at Chicago’s United Center, where he acknowledged long-time fans: “For those of you that have been with me through all the weird haircuts … don’t act like y’all didn’t have bad haircuts! I took one for the team. Maybe like 3 or 4 for the team, but who’s counting,” Timberlake said in Boston. “But it’s been almost three decades together, you guys.”
Timberlake’s comments came nearly two weeks after his arrest, where he was pulled over for allegedly driving while intoxicated and received citations for running a stop sign and failure to keep in lane. He’s scheduled to appear in court, but his lawyer will attend on his behalf as Timberlake will be on tour in Europe.
An arrest report obtained by PEOPLE detailed that Timberlake’s 2025 BMW “failed to keep on the right side of the roadway” and ran a stop sign. After a traffic stop, an officer claimed Timberlake “performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.” Timberlake reportedly told authorities, “I had one martini and I followed my friends home.”
Timberlake’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr., stated: “Mr. Burke looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations. He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time. He is currently awaiting full discovery from the DA’s office.”
A source told PEOPLE that Timberlake and his wife, Jessica Biel, are focusing on their work and family following the arrest. “They’re always supportive of each other’s careers,” the source added. “Jess would never miss a show when she’s able to attend. She’s excited for him. They’ve moved on from the arrest.”
Biel, 42, was seen dancing in the crowd during Timberlake’s tour stop at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Timberlake is set to perform again at the TD Garden on 30th June.
