Rapper and fashion entrepreneur Kanye West has submitted a trademark application for a phrase inspired by his wife, Bianca Censori. The specific wording aligns with the caption he used in an Instagram post celebrating Censori's 29th birthday on 6th January.
West's trademark filing reveals an intention to associate the phrase, "I MISS YOU WHEN I WAKE UP BEFORE YOU," with a diverse range of goods and services. The move follows criticism from Censori's friends, who accused West of sharing provocative photos of her to promote his upcoming album.

The trademark applications, submitted on 11th January to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, encompass a wide spectrum of items, including conventional ones like "moisturizers" and "plush toys," as well as unconventional ones such as "wireless receivers in the form of jewellery" and "biological cloning."
The diverse range of goods and services associated with Kanye West's trademark applications also encompasses unconventional categories such as "exploration services in the field of the oil, gas, and mining industries," along with "chemical research," "meteorological research," "map drawing," "dress design" and even a "life-size inflatable dummy with water-filled base."

West's attorney, Gregory K. Nelson, clarified that the applications were filed on behalf of West's company, Ox Paha, Inc., the same entity used for trademarks like YEWS and YEEZY PODS. This move follows West's Instagram celebration of his wife's 29th birthday on 6th January, where he posted photos praising her beauty and expressing gratitude for her presence in his life.
The posts included a headshot showcasing her with light makeup and earrings and another of her seated on a couch wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, netty leggings, and furry white boots.
