In a press release, Perry described ‘Lifetimes’ as a tribute to “eternal love,” emphasizing that it represents finding a deep and fulfilling connection in life. She noted that a soulmate can take various forms, including a child, a best friend, or a pet.

Perry revealed that her soulmate is her daughter, Daisy Dove, whom she shares with fiancé Orlando Bloom. She recounted asking her nearly four-year-old daughter each night if she would find her in every lifetime, to which Daisy always responded affirmatively. Perry reflected on how Daisy has filled a profound emotional void in her life, saying, “The love I was missing, every mountain I climbed looking for this view, all this love, it came to me when she entered my life.”
