Katy Perry Reveals Why Her Upcoming Album is Titled ‘143’: “It’s My Symbol”

Katy Perry found inspiration for her latest album title, ‘143’, from angel numbers. Similar to zodiac signs in astrology, angel numbers can reveal a lot about ourselves. “Each number and series of numbers has a significant meaning that evokes our intuition, subconscious, and the spiritual world,” says Stardust, noting that they often appear as “special” messages from beyond.

For Perry, the number ‘143’ started appearing during a challenging period in her life. “We were going through a little bit of a hard time medically in our family, and it was a little bit scary, and I started seeing ‘143’ in many different ways, not just on the phone,” she recalled during a conversation.

Speaking with Zane Lowe, Perry explained that repeatedly seeing ‘143’ felt like “angels” and “guides” were communicating love and reassurance, telling her, “I love you. We got you. We’re going to protect you. You’re exactly where you’re meant to be. You’re on the path.”

Perry wanted to share this comforting message with her fans as she entered a new musical era, expressing that she feels “exactly where I’m meant to be at this moment” in her career. “I do love the listener, and I want to give them the love that I’ve received as best as I possibly can and help invite them into this kind of love frequency,” she added.
