Kendall Jenner Opens Up About The Ups and Downs of Modeling

Kendall Jenner has candidly shared her challenges and concerns within the competitive modelling industry. Known for her appearances on major fashion runways and the reality show ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians,’ Kendall’s journey to success has been far from easy.

In a recent episode of the podcast ‘Anything Goes’ hosted by Emma Chamberlain, Kendall opened up about the emotional toll her career has taken on her. Despite her glamorous lifestyle and achievements, the 28-year-old model revealed that the pressure to perform often leaves her emotionally drained. She admitted to experiencing emotional breakdowns, sleepless nights filled with tears, and the relentless demands of her industry that keep her constantly on the move.

Kendall reflected on her unique set of challenges, acknowledging her fortune but also highlighting the hardships. “I’ve been extremely fortunate, but I also have had my own set of challenges, whether it’s being overworked or not getting a job that I would have really loved to get,” she shared.

The loneliness that accompanies her career is another significant struggle for Kendall. Being away from home for extended periods can be isolating. “It is very lonely,” Kendall confessed. “I’ve had really dark nights where I’ve been in random cities and just hysterically crying myself to sleep.”

Despite these challenges, Kendall remains grateful for the opportunities she’s had. “It really is a beautiful thing to be able to travel the world the way I have,” she acknowledged. “I’ve met a lot of amazing people. I feel very grateful for my experience.”

Looking ahead, Kendall has expressed her desire for a long-term career and a future family. In a previous interview with Vogue, she revealed her aspirations for longevity in the industry and her dreams of motherhood. “I dream, above all, of longevity, even when I’m older,” she said. “I would love to have a family, become a mother, and have children.”

Kendall’s reflections on her mental health have been deeply sincere. During a May 2024 interview with Vogue, she spoke openly about dealing with emotions and anxiety, emphasising the importance of mental health awareness. “I don’t see why I shouldn’t be honest about it,” Kendall admitted. “In my career right now, I feel really stable and really hopeful. But I’ve had a tough two months. I haven’t been myself, and my friends see it. I’m more sad than usual. I’m way more anxious than usual.”
