Kesha Alleges Prop Knife During Lollapalooza 2024 Was Replaced With a Real Butcher Knife

Kesha faced an unexpected and potentially dangerous situation during her performance at Lollapalooza. While delivering a high-energy set at the renowned music festival, the singer, known for her hit ‘TiK ToK’, encountered a major surprise when she discovered that the prop knife she used during her rendition of ’Backstabber’ was allegedly replaced with a real butcher knife. 

This revelation came after the show when Kesha took to social media to express her shock. In a post on X, Kesha revealed that the prop knife she had used was missing and was replaced with a real butcher knife taken from a kitchen.

She shared that she was unaware of the switch until after the performance, indicating that she performed with what she thought was a harmless prop while actually handling a real knife.

Throughout her Lollapalooza set, Kesha delivered a dynamic performance, featuring a mix of her biggest hits including ‘Die Young’, ‘Cannibal’, and ‘Take It Off’. The highlight of her set was her live guitar performance of ‘Your Love Is My Drug’, and she also incorporated a viral clip of Vice President Kamala Harris into the introduction for her song “Blow.”

Additionally, Kesha showcased her new single ‘Joyride’, which has recently gained popularity on ‘TikTok’. Her energetic and engaging performance was a standout among the festival’s lineup, which also featured performances from Chappell Roan, Megan Thee Stallion, and Hozier, among others.

Lollapalooza, a major music festival held in Chicago’s Grant Park, featured a wide array of artists across multiple genres. The festival ran from early August, with notable acts like SZA, Reneé Rapp, The Killers, Blink-182, and Melanie Martinez scheduled to perform during the remaining days of the event. Attendees enjoyed the festival with Hennessy serving as the official first Cognac partner.
