Khloé Kardashian on Her Dating Hiatus: ‘I’m Not Going to Be Celibate Forever’

Khloé Kardashian is unapologetically prioritizing her personal time over jumping back into the dating pool.

In the latest episode of ‘The Kardashians’ aired on June 6, Khloé candidly discussed her dating life with Scott Disick. When asked if she had been seeing anyone recently, the 39-year-old reality star firmly responded, “I don’t want to!”

Khloé, who shares daughter True, 6, and son Tatum, 21 months, with ex Tristan Thompson, explained that her busy schedule and responsibilities as a mother leave little room for romance. “That’s my time,” she stated. “I’m not sharing it with a man. I’m not sharing my TV, I’m not sharing my bed!”

When asked about the possibility of rekindling her relationship with Thompson, despite their tumultuous past. Khloé shut down any hopes of reconciliation, saying, “No… the door’s closed.” She emphasized that maintaining a cordial co-parenting relationship is important but moving on is essential. “We all gotta grow up and move on,” she noted.

In a confessional segment, Khloé expressed frustration over the public’s judgment regarding her choice to remain single. “Everyone has been really judgy about how I spend my time because I’m not dating. I stopped dating Tristan when Tatum was in utero. Two and a half years is not that crazy!”

Living close to Thompson has its benefits for their children, but Khloé acknowledged that his recent move to Cleveland has been positive for her. “Now that he’s in Cleveland, this is really, really healthy for us. When he was next door, he was always over….'”

Disick pointed out that it must be challenging for Thompson to see her moving on, to which Khloé responded, “If he wanted to torture himself, that’s on him! Do you want to see all these men pulling up to my house? That’s your problem.”

When Scott asked if this scenario was currently happening, Khloé clarified that it wasn’t, but she didn’t rule it out for the future. “You think I’m just gonna be celibate for the rest of my life?” she asked. “I don’t want anyone stopping my routine at the moment. I’m comfortable with my rhythm.”

Khloé and Tristan’s relationship has been marked by multiple reconciliations and infidelities since they began dating in 2016. Despite efforts to make it work, Tristan’s repeated betrayals, including fathering a child with another woman while they were expecting their second child via surrogate, led Khloé to end their romantic relationship in August 2022.

Khloé has since reiterated her stance on not getting back together with Thompson. “These boundaries are so important to put into place with Tristan because we’ve done this song and dance a handful of times already,” she said in a June 2023 episode of the Hulu show. “I’ve gotten back with him after a cheating scandal, so I don’t know if Tristan is under the impression, ‘Oh wow, OK, let’s just ride this out and eventually she’ll get back with me.’”

“It’s my job to set boundaries that my actions show otherwise,” Khloé continued. “I keep it very short and sweet and make sure he knows it’s always about the kids because it’s so easy to fall back into habits. I can’t let those old habits easily come into my life. It’s just not what I want.”
