Khloé Kardashian Reveals Lamar Odom “Hounding” For Her Number Was a “Turn-On”
Khloé Kardashian is reflecting on her early days with ex-husband Lamar Odom. In the latest episode of ‘The Kardashians,’ Khloé reminisced about Lamar’s persistence during the beginning of their relationship while discussing her current dating challenges with her best friend, Malika Haqq.
“He never stopped texting me last night, I just didn’t respond,” Malika, 41, shared about a new man in her life. In response, Khloé, 39, said, “Oh, I love a person who knows what they want.”

Recalling her relationship with Lamar, she added, “The best thing Lamar did — well, not the best, he did many good things — but when I wouldn’t give him my number, he found out we had the same business manager. He kept asking Lester for my info. It was a turn-on, it’s sexy… you want a little aggressiveness.” She continued, “I also don’t think it’s good when we’re both comfortable being single without wanting to date,” and promised to get back into the dating scene eventually, but with caution.
“It’s a scary world out there, there’s phones everywhere,” Khloé said. “What I’ve been through definitely impacts why I’m not eager to start dating again.”
“I don’t want to mess up my kids,” she continued. “So much has already happened that could potentially affect them, and I don’t want to add to that by bringing someone new into the mix. So far, people have been very disappointed. I’m just not going to open myself up the same way I once did, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. I think that’s part of growing up; you learn to protect yourself.”
Khloé and Lamar married on 27th September 2009, just one month after they met. However, their marriage started to crumble in 2013 following Lamar’s cheating scandal and drug relapse. Khloé filed for divorce in December 2013.
In July 2015, both signed divorce papers. That October, Lamar was rushed to the hospital after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel due to his drug addiction. Khloé stayed by his side and halted the divorce proceedings. Once Lamar recovered and left the hospital, they finalized their split in December 2016.
Khloé later dated NBA player Tristan Thompson. They had an on-and-off relationship plagued by cheating scandals before ending things for good in 2021. They remain amicable as they co-parent their two children, daughter True, 6, and son Tatum, 22 months.
Khloé has been clear about her happiness being single, stating in a previous episode, “I’m very content and happy. I feel like I’m thriving in my own little circle and world. Just thinking about someone being in my space where I have to share my TV or my bed, I’m like, no. No means no, and that’s all you need to know. I’m just finding my rhythm in life again.”
